5th Connecticut Inf. Regiment
The monument is polished granite on a rough granite base standing (in the park) 4′ 6″ tall and about 4′ 8″ wide. The front is inscribed with the regiment’s information, including the five-pointed star that is the symbol of the Twelfth Corps.
The monument to the 5th Connecticut Regiment is southeast of Gettysburg on the east side of Slocum Avenue about 140 yards north of the intersection with Geary Avenue. Slocum Avenue is one way northbound.
